My Skills

A teaser of a female user persona I created

User Research

I utilize user research to understand users, what makes them tick, and what they enjoy. Ultimately, after conducting user interviews, conducting surveys, and analyzing the results through means such as affinity diagrams, I create a user persona to empathize with users and start to define our problem.

User Interface Design

I use my knowledge of color theory and other laws like Gestalt's principles to determine a design that not only looks visually pleasing but has real intent and meaning behind the visual direction taken. I develop and use a style guide or enhance a preexisting one to determine the look of every design project.

Web Development

Through my knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Jquery, and Bootstrap, I can not only work on the front-end development of websites (like this very website), but I can also understand and communicate with developers who I need to work with when I am taking a UX/UI designer role.

A Little More About Me

When I am not sharpening my skills, you can catch me gawking at the stars while strolling around the neighborhood in the early evening. I spend countless hours reading fantasy novels (I am currently losing my mind over Brandon Sanderson's books, and I love it) and practicing the keyboard.
